Magic: The Gathering - Starter Kit 2023

This packaging was designed to attract new players to the game. All-paper environmentally-friendly packaging, the challenge was how to leverage the unique form and create a compelling design without the benefit of any special print treatments. Feature cards are seen on the front for each deck, and the cards can be swapped out for each language while keeping the exploding art universal.
Outer Box and Tray
The design seen here consists of an outer box, and a tray that is slid in the center. once opened, the tray is revealed with all sky art, and the deck boxes on the reverse.
Deck Boxes
Simple tuck boxes to protect the cards inside, as well as to keep the two decks separate. The design is simple while leveraging the energy in the card artwork.
